ERICKSON PECANS

Erickson Pecans was started in 1999 when Wayne and Suzanne moved to Hutto and planted the first 30 trees.  The property included 10 acres of former farmland - all weeds and no trees.  Our idea was inspired by a trip to Northern California for our son’s college basketball tournament.  We drove through miles of almond orchards.

Although Wayne, a teacher and coach, and Suzanne, a sales executive, had no farming experience they held strong to their dream.  Eventually the Erickson’s acquired 15 additional acres from their neighbors and planted a total of 800 trees.
